Dr. Svetha Rao is a respected Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), holding a Bachelor of Medical Science, a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MChD), and a Master of Women's Health with distinction. 

Raised in the Northern Beaches, Svetha studied medicine at the Australian National University (ANU) and completed her Obstetrics and Gynaecology training across leading hospitals in New South Wales. Her passion for high-risk obstetrics led her to a year in Obstetric Medicine as a Provisional Fellow, and she has worked with the Fetal Medicine Unit (Liverpool Hospital) to further her interest in ultrasound. She also mentors future medical professionals as a RANZCOG training supervisor and Associate Conjoint Lecturer at the University of New South Wales. 

Currently focusing on her young family, Svetha will not accept private obstetric patients until 2027. She is dedicated to women's health throughout all stages of life, advocating for issues like heavy menstrual bleeding, colposcopy, and contraception, while providing comprehensive minimally invasive gynaecological procedures due to her advanced laparoscopic training. 

In her spare time, Svetha enjoys family activities, reading, traveling, and exploring the outdoors, making her a well-rounded professional dedicated to her patients and community.
